NEWS & UPDATES
What’s Happening
The current situation in Ukraine has been very heartbreaking to all of us, to say the least. At some point, we must have thought that this situation is so big that it is hard to even make a dent to help. But what we realized is that every small thing counts, every bit of help adds up, and we can make a difference in our own small way.
We are joining forces with many other bakers around the world as we start efforts to #BakeForUkraine. We will be offering the Ukrainian Paska bread in our weekly menu for as long as needed, and 50% of the sales of this loaf will be going directly to Bakehouse - a bakery in Kyiv that is doing a humanitarian mission to provide bread to soldiers, hospital workers, and inter-city refugees. We will be transferring these funds to the gofundme account every 2 weeks.
Bakehouse is a bakery in Kyiv that employed ~80 bakers during peacetime. Their market warehouse has been bombed, and the remaining of their team has moved back to their old bakery located underground. The on-going gofundme fundraiser for Bakehouse will help pay the base wages to their front line bakers, as well as buy supplies and ingredients.

As always, we are very grateful to our community for supporting our humble bakery, and for supporting this campaign.
Our solidarity helps to lift the team's spirits, knowing that many people stand with them in these efforts.
EDIT: 04/08/2022
Thanks to the Morgan Hill community for the overwhelming support of our fundraiser to #bakeforukraine. We got overwhelming support from people, that our weekend baking capacity was the limiter for the past 2 weeks (yay!).
As we mentioned in the updates last week, we are intending to transfer funds every 2 weeks. We have successfully transferred $225 to the gofundme account, and will continue to be doing so for future sales.
Thank you very much for continuously supporting Dough & Batter and the cause to bake for Ukraine!
XOXO,
Kai & Joane
In September 2021, our baker officially finished her courses and became a Nutritionist! This is to learn more about food, ingredients, and overall health, and to further understand the science of different macronutrients and micronutrients.
With this knowledge, we aspire to continuously be able to use the right amount and combination of ingredients for all our baked goods. She's not switching from a baker to a nutritionist - just continuously learning to be able to serve you better!

Starting this month (March 2021), we will only have Saturday deliveries on the first weekend of the month. Regular weekend delivery schedule (Saturday/Sunday) will remain the same for the rest of the weekends.
Thank you for your continuous understanding and support!
Moving forward, we will open up every Monday at 5:30pm for Saturday Delivery and every Tuesday at 5:30pm for Sunday delivery. We apologize for our current limitations and we hope to slowly be able to expand and satisfy more customers. We want to give more people a chance to order for delivery and thought this might be a good way forward until we open up for pickup and expand.
We are extremely grateful for all the support and hope that you will give us a try.
Please note that we are currently only delivering within a 10-mile radius of Morgan Hill Downtown.
