OUR STORY
We are engineers by profession, and naturally, I've become drawn to baking, just because of how precision is an important part of it and of how following instructions to the T results to a good product almost every time (with an acceptable range of tolerances of course! too geek?).

I started baking in 2018 when my husband bought me a stand mixer to pick up a new hobby. Little did we know that it was the beginning of a lot of great things, a lot of great breads, and the rise of Dough & Batter!

Fast forward to today, I have baked thousands of breads (yes, I did the math!) and tested several recipes to find the perfect balance of taste, texture, and nutrition of the different types of breads we all love.

Dough & Batter aims to reach out to people to serve fresh, better options of breads, that are a staple in our everyday diet. Eating bread does not have to be unhealthy, and lighter, healthier options does not need to be boring!
Our vision is to make bread better!

We are committed to serving you with freshly baked goods without the additional artificial preservatives normally found in commercial products. And with just the perfect amount of sugar and butter on the sweet buns & treats we make, you won't have to feel guilty and still be very de-lite(d)! (get it?)

So please, enjoy our baked goods – we are baking with you in mind!

SCHEDULING ORDERS
We are a small business trying to do our best to provide fresh goods to as many people as possible. However, our schedule only permits for us to deliver quality products through pre-orders and for weekend deliveries only. Expanded delivery schedules will hopefully happen in the near future through your support!
WHEN CAN I PLACE ORDERS FOR WEEKEND DELIVERY?
We are currently opening pre-orders online with the following schedule:
-
Mondays at 5:30PM for Saturday delivery
-
Tuesdays at 5:30pm for Sunday delivery
Items that are not sold out after the pre-order schedules above will remain available for pre-order for the rest of the week (Wed-Fri) for anyone else who were not able to place the order early.
CAN I PLACE AN ORDER ON THE WEEKEND FOR SAME DAY DELIVERY?
Unfortunately, NO. Due to the nature of the bread making process, we cannot fulfill same day deliveries for orders placed on a weekend.
The website's ordering system may allow you to place the order, but we won't be able to fullfill a same-day delivery (we apologize for the inconvenience and website function limitation!)
BUT CAN I STILL PLACE AN ORDER ON A WEEKEND?
Yes and No. You can place an order on a Saturday for a Sunday delivery. But because of the same-day delivery limitation mentioned above, we cannot take orders on Sundays.
HOW DO I SETUP THE DELIVERY TIME WINDOW?
During checkout, you will be asked for a convenient time for delivery. We will try our best to accommodate that delivery time within 2 hours, and you will receive a confirmation email from us.
SOURDOUGH BREAD PRE-ORDER RULE
Our fresh sourdough bread takes a couple of days to make, so for these healthier, crusty loaves, we would need the orders placed 2 days prior to delivery.
HOW TO KEEP THEM FRESH
Our products do not have added artificial preservatives (it's a great thing!), so below are some tips on how to store and prolong the shelf life of your breads, as well as tricks on warming 'em up!
AT ROOM TEMPERATURE
Our baked goods are delicious enjoyed fresh on the same day. Leftovers are good for up to 5 days at room temperature.
(65F-75F is ideal)
WARM THEM UP!
Keep them tasting like it's fresh from the oven in one of 2 ways - heat them up in the microwave for 15-20 seconds, or toast them for some added crunch!
FREEZE THEM!
Breads freeze well for 1 month and retain its moisture best in the freezer! Pop up your leftover breads in the freezer (in a tightly sealed bag) if you think you won't finish it within 5 days.

Take out only what you want to eat and microwave it for 30-40 seconds.
